On this Sunset Dolphin Watching our friendly crew will take you on a cruise just off the coast to enjoy watching dolphins in their natural habitat with sunset view at Brijuni Islands. Grab your camera and hop aboard.

Prior to departure a welcome drink (homemade brandy) will be offered.

Our crew will give you an introductory briefing so you’ll know what to expect and what is the best practice for responsible dolphin watching. It’s very important to us not to disturb the animals with our boat but to watch them in their natural habitat.

Please, remember that we’re the visitors, the dolphins are our hosts.

As you make your way out from Stoja to the open sea, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of Pula’s highest sea cliffs.

Once we’re away from the coast, our crew will start search for dolphins on a calm sea around the islands, the area where dolphins are usually spotted on the surface or located with the use of specialized acoustic technology. When conditions are right we can deploy the hydrophone to capture dolphins’ special whistles and high frequency clicks. Our average sighting rate for bottlenose dolphins on this trips is over 80%.

With their playful and acrobatic natures, bottlenose dolphins bring a smile to the faces of all who watch them, sometimes we just can’t tear ourselves away from the dolphins. These curious sea creatures may even approach our boat and bow-ride, our show us their cool tricks, if we’re lucky. Get your camera ready!

During the cruise we’ll serve ice-cold soft drinks, wine and refreshing seasonal fruits.

During an encounter with dolphins, we photograph cuts and scars on their dorsal fins, which are unique to each dolphin, like a fingerprint. Bottlenose dolphins usually live in the same habitat so no matter how many times you come back, you’re likely to reunite with the same group of dolphins!

Remember that your skipper cannot control the nature, he can only do his best to find bottlenose dolphins and to fill your trip with FUN.

Our experienced skipper will take you to the best spots at sea, so you can almost certainly meet the dolphins. 1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 The following general terms and conditions explain the rules of usage and the content of the contract that the customer enters with us.
1.2 While we strive to provide the service we advertise and want to give you the best possible experience, we do so by reacting and responding to the conditions presented with each tour. As we treat every customer as our best client and endeavour to provide the best service we possibly can, we have created these Terms and Conditions to protect both you, the client, and us, …, and ensure we are able to offer you the experience we promise.

2. ANNOUNCEMENTS

2.1 Our primary method of communication is email. All requests, confirmations, changes or cancellations must be communicated to the ‘info@puladolphin.com’ email address to be considered; exceptions are indicated in 3.2. Communications made outside of this channel may not be considered and may affect your eligibility in other parts of these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Any bookings and alterations to bookings made over the phone or via VOIP technology must be followed up with a response email on behalf of the client. If this is not possible before the tour start date the client must state this during the call. Bookings and changes may be made to +385 977 755 590 or the Skype handle puladolphin.

3. CORRECTIONS

3.1 The customer is obliged to be conscious about his transaction account and all the corrections that are performed. We are allowed to make correction to all mistakes or errors regarding collection of payments, issuance of invoices, calculation of commissions and discounts, and other transactions, including refunds and chargebacks.
3.2 The customer is obliged to announce immediately to us if he knows about mistakes or errors that have been made. Depending on what applies, both parties are responsible for correcting the balance of the transaction account in accordance with the correction that has been made.

4. CHANGES IN THE GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

4.1 We periodically reviews its agreement to the client and may make updates or changes to reflect operating requirements and the responsibilities of us and the client. In the event of changes to the General Terms and Conditions we will notify the client and make available the updated Terms and Conditions. The client must agree to the new terms and conditions before entering into new agreements with us.
4.2 We reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions without notice.
5. Limitations and Restrictions
5.1 All clients participating in snorkeling must affirm they have previous swimming experience. Clients without swimming or snorkeling experience are not advised to participate in snorkeling tours with us.

6. PAYMENTS

6.1 We offers multiple payment methods, including cash and bank transfers.

7. CANCELLATIONS & SERVICE CHANGES

7.1 Cancellations or changes to service must be communicated as indicated in Section 2.
7.2 We reserves the right to cancel or alter tours and tour content based on availability, demand, weather or logistical concerns, or due to safety considerations. This may occur with little to no notice to the client, however we will endeavor to communicate any changes to scheduled activities at the earliest possible time. It is our the goal to find the best solution for any changes or cancellations in activities and may offer alternative dates or activities. We will also work with the client on a case-by-case basis for all adjustments and cancellations with the client’s interest and safety in mind.
7.3 The client reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time. Tours canceled on the behalf of the client are subject to a cancellation fee based on the type of tour booked and a set notice period:

Boat Trips – Individuals (1 or 2 participants)

• Payment is due in full upon booking.
• Up to 48 hours prior to the tour departure time, 90% will be refunded.
• Within 48 hours of the tour departure time, no refund is available.

Boat Trips – Group Bookings (3 participants or more)

• Payment is due in full upon booking.
• 8 days or more prior to the tour departure, 90% will be refunded.
• 3 days – 7 days prior to the tour departure, 75% will be refunded.
• Within 48 hours of the tour departure time, no refund is available.

8. RESPONSIBILITY

8.1 We takes your safety seriously and follows the Standards and Procedures of the „Safety of navigation on the sea and inland waters“.
8.2 We strongly recommends that all clients purchase their own travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances arising from vacation activities.
8.3 Subject to our Booking Conditions we are not responsible for any injuries or losses sustained whilst clients are on tours booked with us, whether conducted by us or a third party.
8.4 The client assumes responsibility for their own property and actions while on tour.
8.5 The invalidity of individual clauses of this agreement does not affect the validity of the document as a whole.

9. CONFINDENTIALITY

9.1 We may collect personal information about clients to further the service provided. This may include names, email addresses or other identifying information. At no time does we collect credit card information and requires that all payments be made via bank transfer or in cash.
9.2 We may use your email to periodically send newsletters or other information. This may be ceased at any time by replying to the email and requesting that such communications be stopped.

10. DISPUTES & VENUE

10.1 In case of a dispute between us and the client, or those that consider themselves a party to this agreement, and the dipute arises because of these general terms and conditions, disagreement, breaches of the general terms and conditions or the agreement based on them, the venue for such disputes is in the District Court of Pula. 10.2 Croatian laws apply to the relationship between the client and us. With regards to foreign business of the customer that we are handling, the laws of the relevant country apply, unless specifically otherwise agreed upon.

11. CUSTOMER DECLARATION

11.1 By agreeing to this application and these general terms and conditions, the client confirms that he has studied the general terms and conditions for partnership with us in detail and accepts all the content of it without limitations and obliges to adhere to it in all aspects. The client confirms specifically: a. That he has studied in detail and agrees to the general terms and conditions, specifically about our responsibility. b. That the agreement for services with us is entered into in its own benefit only.

1.What is dolphin watching?Dolphin watching is a practice of observing dolphins in their natural habitat. Watching dolphins in the wild isn't like going to the zoo! The behaviour of wild dolphins is very complex and the experience is always unique as the dolphins migrate through the sea.

2.Do you always see dolphins?We encounter dolphins over 80% of our trips. They are wild animals and on their own schedule so we never know where they will be; however our experienced skipper knows their travel patterns which helps increase our chances. We never give sighting guarantees but in a rare situation that we don't see any dolphin, we'll make arrangements to make sure every customer enjoys their trip.

3.How do we find dolphins? Do we feed them?Pula's dolphins aren't fed or induced in any way to come to the boats. To find dolphins, we take binoculars and keep an eye out to sea, look out for splahes, or breath. On a calm, windless days, any splashes as they break the surface or even jump can easily be seen.

4.What kind of dolphins can we expect to see?Waters around Pula are home to large bottlenose dolphin community, the only cetacean species resident in the coastal areas of the northern Adriatic. Occasionally, striped dolphin, common dolphin and even fin whale can appear in the area.

5.Can I swim with the dolphins?No, the state prohibits intentionally swimming with dolphins in Croatia. They are protected species in the wild.

6.Do the boats disturb the dolphins?Yes, they do. However if they are operated in accordance with the responsible watching guideline, disturbances on the dolphins can be reduced to an absolute minimum.

7.How long the Dolphin Watching trip last? All our trips are approximately three hours in duration from check-in time to the time you get back to the pier. Note: This can vary depending on sea and weather conditions.

8.How many people can you take on a trip?The boat holds up to 12 passengers. In order to operate, all trips are subject to minimum 5 passengers.

9.What kind of people go out on Dolphin Watching trips?Nature and sea lovers! If you’re not, better keep Googling. This may not the trip for you!

10.Is there an age limit?There is no age limit, boat „Boreas“ is safe and fun for all ages.

11.Do we need a reservation?Dolphin Watching trips do sell out quickly and passenger seats are limited, so to guarantee your spot(s) we recommend that you make reservation in advance.

12.How do we book a trip?Booking a trip is simple! For advance booking send us request using our Booking form or an Email and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

13.Can i pay cash or is it all by credit card?As we don't accept cards your cash payment is more than welcome.

14.Are private trips available?Yes, we often run private trips for groups up to 12 people wanting the boat to themselves. To inquire about booking a private trip, please send us an Email.

15.What type of boat do you have?Our boat "Boreas" is 7 meters long and 2.5 wide ex lifeboat completely renovated and modified to carry up to 12 passengers, snorkelers or divers with equipment. Is powered by 25 HP inboard diesel engine.

16.Does your boat have shade?Yes, our boat has a hard top to provide a shade.

17.Where does the boat depart from?Our boat departures from the small pier near Stoja Campsite, in front of wich is a car park. If any problem to find us, our crew will meet you in front of the main entrance of Stoja Campsite.

18.Is there parking available?Yes, there is plenty of unrestricted free parking.

19.How early we must arrive prior to departure?20 minutes will give us plenty of time to get you checked in and boarded.

20.What if we arrive late? Can you wait for us?If the other passengers are aboard, we have to respect their time and cannot delay their departure more by than 5 minutes. If you're running late, you can try to contact the crew at +385 977 755 590. Depending on the circumstances we may be able to wait for you.

21.What language do you speak on the boat?All tours can be done in English, German and Italian language.

22.How fast do you go? We do all our boat trips at relaxing and slow pace.

23.How should we prepare ourselves and what should we bring?The easiest way to know what to wear is checking the weather few hours before your trip. The essential item to bring on a Dolphin Watching, is a quality camera. You don’t want to go home empty-handed.

24.Can we stow anything on the boat?Yes, we provide a dry area for your personal belongings, but there is a limited amount of room, so please only bring what you need.

25.Are there food and drinks available aboard?Yes, we offer refreshing drinks and seasonal fruits.

26.Can we bring our own food?You're free to bring anything you would like to eat or drink as long as the amount is small and personal.

27.Is there a toilet on board?No, we strongly recommend that you use the land base facilities near the dock prior to boarding the boat.
You'll have access to clean toilet facilities before departure.

28.Can we bring our dog(s)?Dogs, cats and other animals aren't allowed on our tours.

29.Is smoking permitted on the boat?Yes, smoking on the boat is permitted.

30.Are life jackets provided?Life jackets are part of our safety equipment and are for emergency use only.

31.Will we get seasick?Not likely. We stay very close to the coast and in the summer months the sea is usually very calm. However, „Boreas“ is a small boat and is in motion most of the time. The last thing we want is for anyone to get sick so if the weather is too rough, we'll have to postpone the trip.

32.What is your season, when do you run your tours?Our season starts in May and runs through October. During the off-peak, we are subject to passenger demand and sea conditions. During the peak (July & August) we run up to 3 trips a day.

33.Do you have a weather cancellation policy?Activity may be canceled due to severe weather. The activity usually runs in light rain and other moderate weather conditions. We may cancel the activity up to an hour before the start time in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. If we cancel the activity, you'll be allowed to reschedule the trip (subject to availability). If rescheduling isn't possible, you'll be refunded.

34.What is your cancellation policy?If you do not show up for your boat trip, you forfeit your money and there are no refunds. Within 48 hours of the trip departure time, no refund is available. If you call up to 48 hours in advance and need to cancel or move your trip, we'll do our best to reschedule your trip date and time. If we're unable to find an appropriate date and time for you, 90% will be refunded. If the minimum number of passengers (which is 5) are not registered, the trip it could be canceled. In such cases, we'll contact you to reschedule your trip or refund your money. Please check our Terms & Conditions for more details.
